Surender Singh wins 3000m Asian GP gold

Surender Singh won the men's 3000 metres gold as the Indian athletes returned a rich a haul of nine medals at the Asian Grand Prix in Suzhou, China, on Saturday. Apart from Surender's gold, four Indians finished second in their events while four others grabbed third spots. In the men's 3000m, Surender finished in 7:59.52 seconds, while team-mates Ravinder and Sandip Kumat Batham followed him in second and third positions respectively.
